Mexico is a representative, democratic, secular and federal Republic, composed of 32 Free and sovereign States in terms of its internal regime; but united in a federation established according to the principles of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States.

In this way, sovereignty and public power correspond to the people, and it is the people who decide to exercise it through a system of separation of powers:

Executive: Lies to the President of the United Mexican States;
Legislative: It is deposited in the Congress of the Union, it is the body in charge of making and reforming laws; and Judicial: These are the bodies and institutions that are responsible for the application of legal regulations, such as courts and tribunals.
